Opening in 2020, Rosebud Early Learning employs over 30 staff and caters for 92 children aged from six weeks to six years of age. It offers a Victorian Government Approved Kindergarten Program for three to four year olds, and its connection to Bayview Church also allows the centre to share many valuable programs and facilities.
The centre, with its huge iconic windmill, has two on-site chefs, unique indoor and outdoor play spaces, a Junior Masterchef Program, a Ranger Program, and animals including frogs, fish and lizards.
Rosebud Early Learning embraces education as a holistic experience, and these enriching environments are based on child-led activities that foster empathy, communication, creativity and problem solving. Children are also encouraged to be free to be themselves in the centre’s natural playscapes, where they can explore the world around them, develop confidence and resilience, and make new friends!
“We listen to your child and honour their choices.”
A Message From our centre Director
“I believe in re-imagining learning and am inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, which is child-centred and of the opinion that children, parents and community are essential components to the learning experience.
Children are not merely passive observers, but have a great capacity to learn in ways that are meaningful to them. It is imperative that we listen to your child, be responsive to child-led cues and honour their choices.
It is essential that children feel safe, secure and have a sense of belonging. I have a special interest in advocating for children’s rights, and wholeheartedly believe that children have intrinsic value and the right to have their needs met.
I place an emphasis on the relationship and interactions between children, their parents and teachers. Children are collaborators and natural communicators. Through mutual respect, children, families and teachers can work together to create a dynamic learning experience and shape a child’s learning journey. I also embrace children and families from spiritually and culturally diverse backgrounds and strive to provide an atmosphere that is both welcoming and attentive.”
