Our centres’ communities encourage children to be curious, confident and resilient.
Located in a seaside suburb on the Mornington Peninsula, Rosebud Early Learning has a unique connection to Bayview Church that allows the centre to share programs and support services. Facilities at the centre include unique indoor and outdoor play spaces, two on-site chefs, a Junior Masterchef program, and a Ranger Program with animal interactions.
Surrounded by spectacular mountain ranges and rolling countryside, South Launceston Early Learning is located in the Door of Hope complex, which offers valuable community assistance to children and families. Facilities at the centre include unique outdoor and indoor play spaces, an on-site chef, a Junior Masterchef Program and a Ranger Program with animal interactions.
Rosebud Early Learning and South Launceston Early Learning understand and manage the balance between education, care and play, inspiring children to look forward to their rich learning journey ahead and prepare them for school … and for life.
Indoor spaces are light-filled and resource-rich, and outdoor spaces are natural, diverse and challenging. This allows children to entertain themselves, negotiate risk, play in imaginative ways, and develop positive relationships with others.
Children can embrace their individuality and play, run, skip, jump and laugh, while exploring the world around them. ‘Real’ play is celebrated, so shoes are optional and getting dirty is compulsory! These unique learning experiences build creativity, empathy, communication, and a range of important fundamental skills, while instilling in children a lifetime love of learning.
The centres’ educators provide a warm, nurturing and encouraging learning environment that makes children feel safe, inspired, confident, and respected for the decisions they make and the choices they have.
Play-based learning encourages indoor and outdoor playtime, sensory, tactile and creative play, and activities that develop their physical, emotional, social, cognitive and language skills.
Educators also support the notion that all children are capable of extraordinary things. The potential for happiness and greatness lies in all of them, and will mean different things to different children. Staff are attuned to children’s unique interest, needs and personalities, they ensure their needs are met, and then scaffold their learning through listening, advocating, respecting and reflecting.
Both centres also strive to build a spirit of engagement between children, staff, families and the wider community. Communication with parents is open, honest and meaningful, with the goal of fostering respectful and collaborative relationships.
Natural environments will inspire and delight, where children can curiously explore, be free to be themselves and embrace their choice of play.
Vibrant and resource-filled rooms have both quiet and interactive spaces that encourage holistic, independent learning.
On-site rangers encourage children to get to know a variety of reptiles, amphibians and sea life, and learn about the natural world around them.
On-site chefs facilitate the centres’ Master Chef programs and create delicious, healthy meals that meet Australian standard requirements for all children’s nutritional needs.
Child-centred, play-based and holistic learning and individually-tailored programs encourage curiosity, confidence, skill development and a love of lifetime learning.
We connect with our families’ businesses to provide community involvement through our incursions and excursions, including our Bush Kinder and walks to local school libraries.
We welcome open communication with families, and regular updates are provided via the Playground educator childcare software and easily accessible via an app.
Rosebud Early Learning and South Launceston Early Learning acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of our land and are committed to continuing and sharing our learning growth together.
